Expanding the exterior of an old traditional home is often the only solution for the owners who want to get advantage of their properties. But it can be a difficult balancing act. Modern home extension design, that respect the original footprint of an older building, require careful planning and a thorough understanding for what the extension will be used for and who will be using it! In a 1978 Structure, we did all maintenance works and succeeded to create two individual units, for a short time luxury living. This beach house was expanded with a modern wooden deck frame, blending the structure into the surrounding scenery.
